Dr. Joshua Crooks, DNP, AGACNP-BC, APRN is a board certified adult-geriatric acute care nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in critical care nursing, particularly neurocritical care and trauma care. He served at level 1 trauma centers in San Antonio and Dallas, managing complex patients with diverse conditions.

About Dr. Joshua Crooks

Dr. Crooks graduated from Baylor University with his Doctor of Nurse Practitioner (DNP) and commenced his training as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) through the National Institute of First Assists. He actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, and the Texas Nurses Association. Dr. Crooks advocates for continuous learning, community involvement, and professional organizations to deliver patients with the highest quality and most current care. Dr. Crooks holds a passion for artistic sports including circus, dance, and acrobatics. He actively engages in partner acrobatics as an athlete and volunteers as a nurse practitioner and medic for on the scene injuries at training events and circus performances across the United States. His passion extends to international settings, where he has received training in acrobatics in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. Currently, he is collaborating on the development of performance material for local and national independent acrobatic productions.
